| Dalnamein
is the most northerly beat on Atholl and extends from the A9 to
over 14,000 acres of fairly gentle heather moorland. The beat is
naturally formed into two sporting areas by the topography and is
well serviced by landrover tracks.
Guests stay at Kindrochet
Lodge, located a few miles south of the beat in a beautiful
wooded setting outside the village of Struan. The lodge has recently
been renovated to a very high standard with most rooms ensuite and
can sleep up to 16 guests.
Mixed sporting weeks start at the end of August and continue until
the end of the stags. Dalnamein is managed by a headkeeper and a
seasonal second keeper ( who is the Estate’s forestry ranger
outwith the sporting season) and therefore two parties can be taken
out on the hill each day. The week also provides for 3 rods to fish
on the River Tilt for two days and further fishing can be arranged
subject to availability.
With
the position and standard of the lodge together with the size and
diversity of the beat, Dalnamein offers guests a very comfortable
and convenient stay both for those taking part in the sport and
for family and friends wanting to enjoy the many activities and
venues the area has to offer.
