As one of the largest Scottish estates, Atholl Estates has a huge variety of terrain to explore - and what better way to do so than with an exciting and informative Land Rover safari? Our breathtaking Land Rover Safaris take in some of the most remote, dramatic and tranquil areas of the estate from peaceful glen to mountain riverside.
Our drivers live and work on the estate, and will be more than happy to share their specialist knowledge of the natural area with you, detailing its rich wildlife that includes red squirrels, birds of prey, mountain hares and red deer.
Atholl is a working estate and every square mile is managed to maintain a harmonious natural balance between farming, forestry, country sports, visitor access and the amazing wildlife that relies on the habitat for survival.
Every tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the wildlife, our work and the landscape, beyond the way-marked trails. Each season offers a new spectacle, and within that variety, each period of the day a different perspective.
We offer tours through each of the seasons and at different times of the day, so you can match when you join us to what you want to see.
We offer scheduled tours that are arranged at set times for individuals or small groups to book in to, or private tours for groups to book specifically to suit their schedule or aspirations.
The maximum capacity of the Land Rover is six people, and most safaris are 2.5 hours in duration, which gives you plenty of time to really get to know this unique Scottish estate from a brand new perspective.
